Fire prevention entails extinguishing fires using available tools. The purpose of fire prevention is to extinguish a fire in its early stages and minimize damage.
By completing the Fire Prevention Course, you will have better preparedness to act as a hot work fire guard. A Fire Guard does not require a Fire Work Certificate (License); however, having completed the Fire Prevention Course is highly beneficial in the event of a fire outbreak.
The Fire Prevention Course consists of two parts:
- Theoretical section, covering the theory of combustion and extinguishing techniques (1 hour).
- Practical fire extinguishing exercise, during which each participant practices extinguishing a fire (1 hour).
Detailed Course Program:
The duration of the Fire Prevention Course is approximately two hours.
Upon completion of the Fire Prevention Course, a record will be made in the registry of course attendees. Additionally, course participants have the option to obtain a Fire Prevention Card – AS1 as proof of completion of the fire prevention training. The card is valid for five years.
